Casablanca is Morocco’s economic capital and by far its largest labour market. The city hosts the head offices of most major Moroccan companies, the financial district (Casablanca Stock Exchange, Casablanca Finance City) and a disproportionate share of the modern service economy.

Casablanca is the capital of the Casablanca-Settat region and alone accounts for roughly one-third of Moroccan GDP.
