What we collect, why, and how to exercise your rights.

Data collected
Kayn is an editorial site with no sign-up and no user accounts. On that basis we collect only minimal data:
- Anonymised technical logs (truncated IP address, browser type, requested URL) handled by our host Cloudflare for security and performance. These logs are not used for marketing.
- Aggregate audience statistics via Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless solution without persistent device fingerprinting. Data is aggregated and does not identify individuals.
- Emails you send us (e.g. via the Contact page): kept only as long as necessary to process your request.
Cookies and trackers
Kayn uses no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies, and no social-media pixels. No browsing data is shared with ad networks or social platforms.
Purposes
- Operating and securing the site (host logs);
- Measuring aggregate audience to improve content;
- Replying to messages you send us.
Legal basis
Legitimate interest (security and anonymous audience measurement) and implied consent for the email exchanges you initiate.
Recipients and transfers
Technical logs are processed by Cloudflare, Inc. (United States), our hosting and CDN provider. The transfer outside Morocco is framed by Cloudflare's data-protection commitments.
Retention
- Anonymised technical logs: kept by the host under its own policy (typically 24 h to 30 days).
- Aggregate audience statistics: kept in aggregated form with no identifiable content.
- Emails received: up to 24 months after the last exchange, then deleted.
Your rights
Under Moroccan Law 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to personal data processing and, where applicable, GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing, and portability.
To exercise these rights, write to contact@usekayn.com stating the object of your request and a way to identify you. We reply within 30 days.
If you consider your rights are not respected, you may contact Morocco's Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel (CNDP) — cndp.ma.
