The automotive industry has become Morocco’s leading export sector. It is built around two assembly hubs — Renault Tanger-Méditerranée (Melloussa) and Stellantis Kénitra — and a dense network of tier suppliers in the free zones Tanger Automotive City (TAC), Tanger Free Zone (TFZ), Atlantic Free Zone (AFZ) at Kénitra, and Nouaceur near Casablanca.
