Last updated 2026-04-18

Retail and distribution is one of the largest non-agricultural employers in Morocco. The sector combines a historically dominant traditional trade, a growing modern retail segment, and a rapidly maturing e-commerce market.

Modern retail

  • Specialty — IKEA, Electroplanet, Best Buy, Kitea, Leroy Merlin, Decathlon, Virgin Megastore, H&M, Zara, Mango, Sephora.
  • Cash & carry B2B — Atacadão, Aswak Assalam Pro.
